Tax Director

Tax Manager

Lead and develop a high-performing tax services team, oversee the preparation and review of complex tax engagements, drive operational efficiency and workflow management, ensure exceptional quality and client service standards, and partner with senior leadership to support departmental growth and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax, bookkeeping and accounting professionals while driving performance and accountability.
Oversee the preparation and review of complex individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Manage department workflows, staffing capacity, deadlines, and productivity to meet business objectives.
Serve as the senior escalation point for complex tax matters and collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and department growth.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive tax experience, including experience in both tax compliance and tax accounting.
EA or CPA license required.
1+ years of supervisory and leadership of tax professionals.
Strong technical accounting and tax skills, thorough knowledge of U.S. federal, state and local tax laws
Experience with tax software such as: ProSeries and UltraTax or others.
Demonstrated ability to establish and track KPIs, improve processes, and drive measurable results.
