Hourly Position | Full-Time
Monarch Place is a senior living community dedicated to creating a warm, engaging, and welcoming environment for the residents who call our community home.
We are looking for an energetic and creative Activities Director who enjoys working with seniors and knows how to bring people together. This position plays an important role in creating meaningful programs, events, outings, and experiences that keep our residents active, connected, and engaged.

Plan, coordinate, promote, and lead a variety of activities, programs, events, and outings for residents.

Develop programs that support residents' physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Create and maintain an engaging monthly activities calendar.

Develop and distribute a timely and informative monthly resident newsletter.

Encourage resident participation and regularly evaluate programs to ensure activities reflect residents' interests and abilities.

Plan special events, celebrations, holiday programs, entertainment, and community outings.

Supervise, schedule, and support activities/wellness staff.

Recruit, coordinate, and supervise community volunteers.

Develop and manage the department budget while ensuring appropriate use of resources.

Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, community policies, and established standards.

Coordinate safe and dependable transportation for resident activities and outings.

Oversee community vehicles to ensure they are maintained in a safe, clean, and efficient condition.

Work closely with other department leaders to create a positive and engaging community environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

High school diploma or GED required.

At least 3 years of work experience required; senior living, activities, recreation, hospitality, or a similar environment is preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Creative, energetic, dependable, and comfortable engaging with residents, families, staff, and community partners.

Ability to manage multiple programs, events, and priorities.

Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
