Full Job Description

Bridging the Gap Leadership Group, LLC Position Overview

Bridging the Gap Leadership Group, LLC (BTG) is seeking dependable, compassionate Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) to provide community-based, non-clinical support services to children, youth, and families.
DSP's support safety, supervision, skill development, and family stability through structured services delivered in approved environments, including in-home and community settings when authorized. This role requires professionalism, emotional maturity, strong boundaries, and adherence to all BTG and county guidelines.

This is a non-clinical, direct care position.

Role Structure

BTG operates with a tiered DSP structure to align experience, responsibility level, and service type. Tier placement is determined after hire based on experience, training, and service authorization. DSPs may provide one or multiple service types depending on assignment, training, and approval.

Services DSPs May Provide:

DSPs may be assigned to support the following non-clinical services:

Sitter services: Basic supervision and care for children, maintaining safety, routines, and structure supporting caregivers during approved service periods.

Transportation Services: Transporting children to approved appointments, visits, or services. Following all transportation safety and documentation requirements.

Supervised Visitation Services: Monitoring parent-child visits. Ensuring safety, neutrality, and compliance with visitation guidelines. Observing and documenting interactions.

Parent & Caregiver Support Services: Providing structured parenting education and skill-building support. Delivering parent training and guidance in approved settings, including in-home when authorized. Supporting families through observation, needs identification, and targeted education. Reinforcing positive parenting strategies and family routines.

Behavioral Support / Targeted Aide Services (Non-Clinical): Supporting children with specific identified needs. Reinforcing positive behaviors and skill development. Providing consistency, structure, and redirection as outlined in service plans. Escalating concerns appropriately (no diagnosis or therapy provided). Core Responsibilities (Across All DSP Assignments).

Provide direct supervision and support to children and youth Maintain child safety at all times. Follow BTG, county, and referral-source policies. Maintain strict professional boundaries: No personal homes, no personal errands, no unapproved locations. Complete required documentation, service logs, transport logs, and incident reports. Communicate concerns or incidents promptly to BTG leadership.

Schedule & Work Environment: Part-time, PRN, and limited full-time opportunities

Flexible scheduling (evenings and weekends may be required). Community-based and approved in-home services only. Children may never be left unattended or taken to unapproved locations.

Compensation

Pay Range: $14–$25 per hour Compensation is service-based and aligned with assignment type, experience, and authorization. Rates are determined after hire based on approved services and DSP tier placement.

Employment Details Classification: Independent Contractor (1099) Training: Required onboarding and orientation provided. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Ability to pass background checks and required clearances. Reliable transportation (for approved transport roles). Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to follow policies, procedures, and chain of command.

Are you comfortable working as a 1099 Independent Contractor rather than a W-2 Employee? This means you are contracted, not employed. Taxes are not withheld and you are responsible for filing your own taxes. Payment is issued based on submitted documentation and completed services.
Are you comfortable completing detailed service documentation accurately and timely? Documentation is extremely important in this role. If it was not documented, it was not done. Documentation is also how payment is processed. Payment is issued based on the accuracy and timeliness of the documentation process.
