Federal Construction Triple Hat (Superintendent / Quality Control Manager / Site Safety & Health Officer)Job Summary
We are seeking an elite Triple Hat professional to serve as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager (QCM), and Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) on Federal construction projects nationwide. This role requires deep federal construction experience, strict compliance capabilities, and strong leadership on active job sites.
Qualifications – Federal Construction Triple Hat Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or 10+ years of Federal Construction experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Quality Control Manager
- Extensive experience working on Federal Government construction projects
- USACE/NAVFAC experience (Required)
- Highly experienced in vertical construction
- NAVFAC/USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification
- OSHA 30-Hour certification (must provide card)
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- EM 385-1-1 compliance & 24-Hour Competent Person Course EM-385
- Minimum 8 hours of continuing education annually for the past 5 years
- Ability to meet Department of Homeland Security requirements for military base access
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and operate heavy equipment
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, scheduling software, CAD applications, and Procore
- Skilled in interpreting drawings, specifications, and related documents
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledgeable in general technology and photo documentation
Preferred
- Experience with VA construction projects
- Additional federal agency experience (USACE, NAVFAC, VA)
- Bachelor's degree in Building Science or related Construction degree
Responsibilities – Federal Construction Triple Hat
- Lead and manage the on-site construction team
- Coordinate and oversee all on-site activities
- Read, interpret, and enforce construction documents
- Create and review submittals
- Implement and manage the three phases of quality control
- Ensure materials delivered meet approved submittal requirements
- Conduct and document daily field reports, RFIs, field orders, and other site records
- Attend production meetings and maintain schedule and budget adherence
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including EM-385 and OSHA requirements
- Maintain site cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards
- Liaise with government inspectors and authorities for approvals
- Set up and monitor testing activities
- Perform internal quality inspections and manage QC processes
- Manage material orders, equipment, and on-site inventory
- Comply with BAA requirements
- Oversee project timeline to ensure all deadlines are met
- Prepare close-out documents at project completion
