SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst for a remote opportunity. Candidate will help build and mature an enterprise Software Asset Management program within a large financial services environment, with an emphasis on software lifecycle management, licensing, compliance, utilization, and cost optimization. The role will support the adoption of ServiceNow SAM Pro and help establish scalable processes across a broad portfolio of enterprise applications.
Required Qualifications of the Software Asset Management Analyst:

- Experience supporting Software Asset Management within a large or complex enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end software asset lifecycle, including licensing, provisioning, reclamation, compliance, and retirement.
- Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise asset management platform.
- Ability to analyze software utilization and identify opportunities to eliminate unnecessary licenses and reduce costs.
- Experience managing or reviewing software assets across a large portfolio of enterprise applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage assignments independently, prioritize deliverables, and provide proactive status updates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, data review, and basic analysis.
- Comfortable collaborating remotely through Microsoft Teams and other enterprise communication tools.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Software Asset Management Analyst:
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro).
- Experience establishing, rebuilding, or significantly improving a Software Asset Management program.
- Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Familiarity with Tanium or a similar endpoint discovery and asset management solution.
- Experience supporting software audits, license examinations, or regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities of the Software Asset Management Analyst:
- Help establish, document, and continuously improve the organization's Software Asset Management program and processes.
- Support the implementation and ongoing operation of ServiceNow SAM Pro, including software asset and licensing data management.
- Manage software throughout its lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, utilization, license reclamation, compliance, and retirement.
- Review software usage and licensing expenditures to identify unused, redundant, or underutilized assets and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with IT teams, application owners, and business stakeholders to collect information, resolve data gaps, and strengthen SAM practices.
- Track priorities, project activities, and deliverables while providing clear updates and helping educate internal team members on SAM processes and tools.
