Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Transitional Housing Program Coordinator provides administrative and organizational support, alongside the leadership team, for Shine Community Impact’s Transitional Housing Program (New Beginnings). This role helps ensure the program operates efficiently by coordinating resident onboarding, maintaining records, supporting communication efforts, and assisting with program logistics.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping young adults successfully transition into independent living. Experience working with group homes, foster care, juvenile programs, social services, or other youth-focused organizations is strongly preferred.

Because Shine Community Impact is a faith-based, 501c3 organization. The Program Coordinator should support the ministry’s Christian mission and help foster an environment characterized by compassion, accountability, encouragement, and personal growth. The program supports young men ages 18-23.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new residents.

· Maintain resident files, program records, and required documentation.

· Prepare meeting agendas (including Steering Committee meetings), notes, and follow-up action items.

· Assist with volunteer and program scheduling.

· Create newsletters and other program communications as needed.

· Track resident participation, goals, and program metrics.

· Support special events, workshops, and program activities as needed.

· Serve as a point of contact for residents, volunteers, and program community partners as needed.

Qualifications Required

· Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ whose lifestyle and conduct reflect biblical Christian values.

· Strong organizational and administrative skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar software.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records.

· Alignment with the mission and values of Shine Community Impact.

Preferred

· Experience working with youth or young adults in group homes, foster care, juvenile justice, social services, education, ministry, or related settings.

· Experience coordinating volunteers, programs, or community initiatives.

· Experience creating newsletters, reports, or other communications.

· Passion for helping young adults develop the skills needed for independent living.

· BS in Social Work or Psychology
