Full Job Description

Reports to: Dean, College of Arts and Humanities

Job status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Houston Christian University seeks Staff Pianist to join the Department of Music with expertise in teaching applied piano lessons.

Job Responsibilities:

Accompany applied music major and minors, both vocal and instrumental
Accompany for choral ensembles; lead choral sectionals
Perform one on one music coaching sessions, and play for student recitals and masterclasses
Teach applied piano lessons to both music majors and minors

Qualifications:

MM in collaborative piano, will consider MM or DMA in piano performance. proficiency in European language diction
Ability to coach both singers and instrumentalists.
