Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our Supply Chain team supporting the manufacturing of cloud server products. In this role, you will work closely with our Front end Buyer located at our Taiwan Headquarters to ensure timely material availability for production by managing purchase order execution, monitoring supplier performance, and resolving supply issues.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys collaborating with global teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Execute purchase orders based on MRP requirements and production demand.
Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgments, delivery schedules, and shipment status to ensure on-time material availability.
Work closely with the Buyer at HQ (Taiwan) to execute purchasing strategies and support supply planning.
Provide daily updates on supplier commitments, material shortages, shipment status, and recovery plans.
Expedite critical materials to minimize production disruptions.
Coordinate with Planning, Production, Warehouse, Logistics, and Customer Program teams to support production schedules.
Monitor customer-controlled/customer-assigned materials and coordinate delivery status with HQ and customer supply chain teams.
Resolve routine supplier issues related to delivery, quantity, and documentation.
Maintain accurate purchasing information and supplier commitments in the ERP system.
Prepare daily and weekly reports on open purchase orders, material shortages, supplier performance, and critical supply risks.
Support inventory management initiatives, including excess and obsolete inventory reduction.
Escalate supply risks and delivery issues to the Material Control Planner and management when necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or material planning within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in electronics, server, EMS, or high-tech manufacturing is preferred.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across suppliers, manufacturing teams, and global procurement organizations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Mandarin language skills are a plus but not required.

Preferred Experience

Cloud server, data center, networking, or electronics manufacturing.
Supporting procurement activities across global supply chains.
Managing customer-controlled or customer-assigned materials.
Working with suppliers in Asia and North America.
