Full Job Description

Provia – Insightful is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Billing Representative to join our laboratory billing team. This position is responsible for resolving billing issues, processing denials and invalid claims or information, maintaining accurate records, and communicating professionally with patients and insurance companies.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable handling a high volume of calls and data-entry tasks, and able to resolve billing concerns accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Review, research, and resolve insurance claim denials.
Identify and correct invalid or incomplete billing information.
Enter and update patient, insurance, and billing data accurately.
Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and account information.
Contact insurance companies to verify coverage, obtain claim information, and resolve billing issues.
Manage inbound and outbound telephone calls professionally.
Document communications and account activity clearly.
Follow up on outstanding claims and unresolved billing matters.
Protect patient confidentiality and follow applicable privacy requirements.
Work with team members to support timely and accurate laboratory billing.

Qualifications

Two years of medical billing, laboratory billing, insurance, or related experience is recommended.
Experience working with insurance denials and claim resolution is preferred.
Strong data-entry and computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional telephone manner and customer-service skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work onsite in Buford, Georgia.
