Full Job Description

Our network consists of 16 community-based hospitals, a long-term acute care facility, home health services, outpatient centers and thousands of physicians. This position will cover Dade City and the surrounding counties on an as needed basis (PRN) with variable hours between 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM.

Position details:

Status: PRN (as needed basis and not a fixed amount of hours)
Facility: Behavioral Health Outpatient Sites
Location: Various behavioral health sites in Pasco and surrounding counties, Florida
Shift: Hours will vary between 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Behavioral Health Office Representative Responsibilities:

Obtains and updates patient information
Schedules patient appointments and assists with patient inquiries; may arrange for additional services
Collects and posts payments, and assists with patient billing questions
Ensures completion of all encounter documentation prior to check out
Accepts transfers from other facilities according to established guidelines.
Schedules patients with appropriate provider, answers phones and responds within time frames defined by departmental guidelines.
Obtains complete and accurate patient registration information according to department standards.
Reviews and confirms all registration information is accurate at each appointment and makes any required updates.
Consistently reviews cancellation, displaced patients, and appointment requests worklist throughout the day.
Reviews daily schedules for availability and coordinates with onsite supervisor to ensure providers' schedules are at capacity.
Greets, registers and checks in patients

Requirements:

High School or Equivalent
1 year – Office Related
Customer service, interpersonal, critical thinking
Written and verbal communication
Works independently and with a team
