Stormwater Pond Manager/ Restoration Ecologist
Tributaries is looking for an experienced Stormwater Manager/ Restoration Ecologist or a motivated person who enjoys working outdoors, is interested in native plants, and is willing to use power tools, tractors, and herbicides to manage and restore wetlands.
As a Stormwater Pond Manager your responsibilities/functions will include but not be limited to the following:
- Treat for algae, submerged and floating weeds, phragmites, and invasive vegetation.
- Service, troubleshoot, and maintain fountains, aerators, and other aeration equipment.
- Conduct water sampling when needed for water quality analysis.
- Remove invasive vegetation through manual removal efforts.
- Assist in native plant planting projects.
- Operate basic machinery such as hedge trimmers, ATV’s, brush mowers, etc.
- Assist in native plant nursery
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- A degree in related science is preferred
- 0-2 years’ experience in an environmental-related field
- Ability to obtain all state licenses required to perform the role
- Aptitude in using various hand tools
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices
- Commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to swim
- The work requires strenuous physical exertion, and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear, and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach and feel.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background screen and drug test
Salary, Benefits, and Hours of Operation
Full-time employee starting wage is $18.00 - $32.00 per hr. As a full-time employee, you will be entitled to two weeks of paid/sick time off annually. Operation hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. but may fluctuate during the growing season (March – November) as needed.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
