The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and security of enterprise information systems and networks. This role supports mission-critical environments by ensuring system availability, performance, and compliance with applicable federal and DoD requirements. The Systems Administrator works closely with cybersecurity, network, and program management teams to maintain reliable and secure IT operations.
Position supports a long-term Navy effort.
Employment is contingent upon contract award and continued Government funding.

May provide technical guidance or mentoring to junior staff as needed

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot server and client operating systems

Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity
-
Apply system patches, updates, and configuration changes in accordance with security policies
-
Support user account management, access controls, and permissions
-
Implement and maintain system hardening and security configurations
-
Support vulnerability remediation and compliance activities, including STIG implementation
-
Assist with backup, recovery, and continuity of operations activities
-
Support networked systems, virtualized environments, and remote access solutions
-
Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
-
Coordinate with cybersecurity and network teams to resolve system issues and security findings

Provide onsite and remote technical support as required

Experience supporting DoD or federal IT environments
-
Familiarity with NIST, DISA STIGs, and RMFrelated processes
-
Experience with virtualization technologies and enterprise storage solutions
-
Experience supporting Windows and Linux server environments
-
Experience with cloudbased or hybrid IT environments
-
Minimum of four (4) years of system administration or system management experience
-
Experience supporting enterprise IT systems in a networked environment
-
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues

Must meet DoD 8140 / 8570 workforce requirements for the applicable role

One or more current, DoDapproved certifications (e.g., Security+, Linux+, Microsoft, or equivalent)

Education may be substituted with relevant experience in accordance with DoD workforce guidelines

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to approximately 40 pounds) as needed
-
Ability to work at a computer workstation for prolonged durations

Ability to access government facilities and secure areas

Primarily a professional office environment.

This position does not require regular travel. However, occasional travel may be requested to support company events, team meetings, or customer-related activities as needed. Any such trip will be communicated in advance and coordinated accordingly.

Must possess an active SECRET security clearance.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance if required by the Government.
