Prep Cook | Shenanigans Irish Pub | Dahlonega, GA

This position is located in Dahlonega, GA. If you're applying from another city, please make sure you're comfortable with the commute. Everyone is welcome to apply!

About You

A great Prep Cook understands that what happens behind the scenes creates the experience our guests to remember.

You are the person who helps the kitchen succeed before the first order hits the line. Your preparation, organization, and attention to detail allow our cooks to provide consistent, high-quality food for our guests.

We are looking for someone who:

Kitchen experience is preferred, but the right attitude and willingness to learn go a long way!

What You'll Do

Prepare ingredients according to daily prep lists and recipes
Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, soups, stocks, and other kitchen items
Wash, cut, portion, label, and properly store food products
Follow recipe standards and portion guidelines to ensure consistency
Assist cooks and kitchen staff during busy service
Keep the Prep kitchen clean and organized
Receive and organize food deliveries
Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards
Complete opening and closing kitchen checklists
Help keep inventory stocked and notify management when supplies are low
Step in wherever needed to support the team

✔ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Food Safety & Kitchen Standards

At Shenanigans, cleanliness and safety are a priority.

You will be expected to:

Follow all food safety guidelines
Properly wash hands and maintain sanitary practices
Wear required kitchen attire including apron/chef coat, gloves, head covering, and closed-toe shoes
Maintain clean workstations and equipment
Properly store, label, and rotate food products

Schedule

Part-Time opportunities available

Schedules may include:

Weekday shifts
Evening shifts
Weekend shifts
Holidays and extended hours based on business needs
