Full-Time | Day Shift | Employee-Owned Company | Leadership Opportunity
Elipticon Wood Products is seeking an experienced Shipping & Logistics Lead to oversee daily shipping operations, fulfillment coordination, and transportation planning for our high-quality wood moldings and millwork products.
This position is responsible for ensuring customer orders are accurately fulfilled, properly packaged, scheduled, and shipped on time. The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, freight coordination, and shipping operations, along with the ability to organize priorities and support a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a leadership and logistics-focused role, not a dedicated driving position. The Shipping & Logistics Lead will coordinate transportation, manage shipping priorities, oversee fulfillment activities, and provide delivery support when needed, including covering department vacations.

What You'll Do
Shipping & Fulfillment Leadership
- Oversee daily shipping and fulfillment activities to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule
- Coordinate shipping priorities based on production schedules, customer needs, and transportation availability
- Provide direction and support to shipping team members
- Ensure finished products are properly packaged, labeled, staged, and ready for shipment
- Assist with training, problem-solving, and improving shipping processes
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient shipping environment
Logistics & Transportation Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate third-party trucking and freight carriers
- Plan transportation needs, including full semi-truck overnight shipments
- Develop and coordinate delivery routes to meet customer requirements and company schedules
- Communicate with carriers regarding pickup schedules, delivery expectations, and shipment status
- Work with internal departments to ensure orders are ready and shipped on time
- Help identify opportunities to improve freight efficiency and reduce transportation costs
Packaging & Materials Management
- Manage inventory levels of shipping supplies and packaging materials
- Order boxes, packaging materials, and other fulfillment-related supplies
- Ensure packaging methods protect finished products during transportation
- Identify opportunities to improve packaging processes and reduce shipping damage
Department Support
- Provide delivery support and cover driver responsibilities during vacations or staffing needs
- Operate company delivery vehicles safely and professionally when needed
- Load, secure, transport, and unload finished products
- Complete required vehicle inspections and delivery documentation
- Assist with shipping and warehouse activities as needed
Hours
Schedule: Monday – Friday (approximately 45–48 hours depending on production and shipping needs)
Pay
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation coordination, shipping, or fulfillment required
- Experience scheduling freight carriers and coordinating transportation required
- Experience with route planning and freight management preferred
- Valid CDL required
- Clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Record required)
- DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Fed Med Card) required
- Experience operating commercial vehicles preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to lead, support, and work effectively with team members
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and move building materials safely
- Employees who operate company vehicles must install and use the company's approved driver safety application. While use of the application is required by the company, employees will receive a company-determined phone reimbursement for participating.
