Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our service operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems across diverse commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service to ensure our clients receive top-tier solutions.

Customer Focused:

· 100% Customer Focused

· Holds technicians and office staff accountable when company or customer needs are not being met

· Routinely reaches out to customers to ensure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement

· Reviews all service reports and invoices from the standpoint of the customer

Team Oriented:

· Screens, hires, trains, and motivates the very best HVAC service technicians

· Celebrates technician successes and quickly addresses performance concerns

· Leads the field service team

Provide value-added technical expertise whenever possible.
Work with techs on phone and in field to handle technical issues they are unable to address on their own

· Jumps in to help solve issues and keep PMs, calls and repairs caught up

· Coordinates efforts to train helpers on the job

Train Service Techs on technical matters, sales and overall customer satisfaction
Provide field support to the Construction side of the business as needed, i.e., startup time estimates, field technical support, field start up, etc.

Drives Growth and Efficiency:

· Motivated to grow the department

Optimize billable time for Service Techs
Closely monitor and control job profitability and ensure expenses in the field are promptly reported to be billed out
Ensure all Service contracts are current and that renewed contracts are escalated as needed to maintain profit margins
Monitor and control all Service projects and ensure they meet estimated profit goals
Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC Service standards plus regulatory requirements for installation and safety.

· Does whatever it takes to impress prospective customers when opportunities arise

· Strengthens and preserves long-term partnerships to maximize profitability

· Provides added value to current and prospective customers by improving processes

· Reviews all PM agreements and understands every quarter’s PM scope

· Ensures that we do our best to stick to contracted schedules

· Familiar with every customer’s equipment, facility, contract(s), and site-specific safety guidelines

Operations:

· Ensures that quotes are accurate and sent out expeditiously

· Helps service coordinator order parts and expedite repairs

· Ensures equipment lists are thorough, accurate, and being used to track unit-by-unit PMs, service calls, repairs and refrigerant loss

· Ensures that technicians are clear regarding PM agreement tasks and expectations and that they are completed within the specified time frame

· Reviews and approves all invoices and technician work hours in a timely manner

· Reviews and renews service agreements prior to renewals

· Ensure that technicians fully understand safety guidelines, mitigate accident risks, and have appropriate and reliable PPE

Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC Service standards plus regulatory requirements for installation and safety.
Provide value-added technical expertise whenever possible.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Verifiable Experience as an HVAC Service Manager

· 5 – 10 years’ experience as an HVAC Service Technician

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Must be organized and possess good time management skills to prioritize workload

· In depth knowledge of Word, Excel, and other Microsoft products

· Ability to pass a drug test and a background check

· Valid driver’s license is required
