Full Job Description

CSI Companies is seeking a C# / Azure Engineering Lead to lead the design, development, security, and optimization of enterprise-scale RESTful APIs supporting more than 60 million transactions per day. This role will serve as both a hands-on technical leader and strategic partner, driving API modernization efforts while collaborating with engineering teams, business stakeholders, Microsoft, and third-party vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Hours: 40 hours/week
Location: Remote
Pay: Competitive; based on relevant experience, education, and credentials
Position Type: W-2 Contract

What You'll Do:

Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of high-volume RESTful APIs utilizing C# and .NET.
Drive initiatives focused on API security, performance optimization, scalability, and reliability.
Design and support solutions leveraging Azure App Services, Azure Function Apps, Azure Front Door, and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs).
Facilitate stakeholder meetings, communicate project progress, identify risks, and align priorities across technical and business teams.
Troubleshoot complex issues involving internal teams, Microsoft, Dynamics 365, and third-party vendors.
Conduct root cause analysis and drive issues to resolution regardless of ownership.
Lead engineering and product teams through Agile sprint cycles, including planning, prioritization, delegation, and delivery management.
Define use cases, technical requirements, and implementation strategies that align with business objectives.
Establish and promote best practices for cloud architecture, API development, security, and operational excellence.
Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

What We're Looking For:

Extensive experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale RESTful APIs using C# and .NET
3+ years of technical leadership, engineering lead, or lead developer experience.
Strong experience building and supporting high-volume RESTful APIs.
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including:
- Azure App Services
- Azure Function Apps
- Azure Front Door
- Azure WAF
Experience securing public-facing APIs, including authentication, authorization, threat mitigation, and performance optimization.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing technical deliverables.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience using GitHub and Postman.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Snowflake.
Experience integrating with Dynamics 365 environments.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications with high transaction volumes.
Exposure to cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working directly with Microsoft and third-party vendors to resolve complex production issues.
