Full Job Description

CSI – a custom hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX, is seeking a talented Procurement Specialist. The Procurement Specialist will support all procurement aspects for CSI and will be responsible for, and perform as necessary, the daily activities associated with procuring materials & services, receiving material, invoicing, qualifying vendors, tracking purchases, and various other aspects related to supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement. It is important that the Crescent Systems Procurement Specialist views their role as an important team member in the production of hardware and software products.

The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Direct experience ensuring contractual requirements are met in all issued purchase orders
Primary user of the software tools associated with procurement and manufacturing operations
Proficiency using MS Office suite of programs to include MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Keep records, prepare reports, and follow specific instructions
5+ years with DoD experience
Trusted agent and responsible for procurement activities and actions to ensure company success
Experience working directly with Engineering and drawing packages
Current Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance

Train and instruct employees in proper use of computers/network system functions and resources
Effectively carry out difficult and complex tasks while exercising independent judgment and initiative
Manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet critical deadlines
Work independently as well as part of a team; self-motivated
Be adaptive and proactive
Show initiative by seeking ways to improve processes
Performs other duties as required
