Full Job Description

Architectural AutoCAD Drafter / BIM Technician

Ever Construction – Dallas, TX

Ever Construction. is seeking an Architectural AutoCAD Drafter / BIM Technician to support our commercial construction and preconstruction team.

Strong AutoCAD proficiency is required. The ideal candidate must be able to prepare and revise architectural drawings accurately and efficiently, including construction details, permit drawings, and field revisions.

Experience with Revit/BIM, SketchUp, 3D modeling, and rendering is highly preferred.

This position will work closely with project managers, estimators, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel on commercial renovation, tenant improvement, maintenance, and ground-up construction projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare and revise architectural drawings using AutoCAD
Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, details, reflected ceiling plans, and other construction drawings
Convert sketches, field measurements, PDFs, and redlines into accurate CAD drawings
Assist with permit drawings, as-built drawings, shop drawing coordination, and construction revisions
Prepare conceptual layouts and presentation drawings during preconstruction
Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, civil, MEP, and specialty trade drawings
Assist with Revit/BIM modeling and coordination
Create SketchUp and other 3D models/renderings when needed
Perform field measurements and document existing conditions as required
Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and project documentation

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of structural drafting experience involving building structures.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory
Ability to read and prepare architectural and commercial construction drawings
Basic understanding of floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
Strong attention to accuracy and detail
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams

Highly Preferred

Revit / BIM experience
SketchUp experience
3D modeling and rendering experience
Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat experience
Commercial construction and permit drawing experience
Architecture, drafting, construction technology, or related education

Competitive Salary : Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, AutoCAD proficiency, construction document experience, construction experience, and forensic engineering expertise.
