Sweetpea Pediatric Therapy Services LLC

Duncanville / Southwest Dallas Area

Full-Time | 35–40 Hours per Week

Starting at $45.00

Monday–Friday | School-Day Schedule | In Person

Sweetpea Pediatric Therapy Services (SPTS) is seeking a Texas-licensed or license-eligible Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or SLP Intern to provide speech and language services to students in a school setting in the Duncanville / Southwest Dallas area.

This role is a good fit for a new graduate or early-career SLP who wants school-based experience with consistent clinical supervision, accessible SLP leadership, and practical support while building confidence in treatment, evaluations, documentation, and the IEP process.

Our goal is to give new SLPs the opportunity to grow into confident, independent clinicians while having experienced support available throughout the process.

What You'll Do

As an SLP-Intern with SPTS, you will:

Provide individual and group speech and language therapy to students
Complete speech-language evaluations and re-evaluations under appropriate supervision
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment addressing goals and objectives outlined in each student's IEP
Develop appropriate speech-language goals and recommendations based on evaluation results and student needs
Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate data related to student progress
Complete timely and accurate treatment notes, evaluation reports, progress documentation, and other required records
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute clinical recommendations as appropriate
Communicate regularly with your supervising SLP regarding student progress, evaluations, treatment needs, and clinical questions
Collaborate professionally with teachers, school staff, families, supervisors, and other members of the student's educational team
Participate in supervision, meetings, training, and professional development activities
Use electronic systems for email, scheduling, documentation, and access to special education records
Maintain professional verbal and written communication
Complete other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or an equivalent qualifying field
Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Intern license, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to beginning clinical services
Availability to work approximately 35–40 hours per week
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors and school-based teams
Interest in continued professional learning and development

Preferred

Pediatric experience through graduate clinical placements, externships, or previous employment
Previous school-based practicum or work experience
Experience providing individual and group speech-language therapy
Experience completing speech-language evaluations and participating in IEP meetings
Fluency in a language other than English

New graduates beginning their SLP-Intern / Clinical Fellowship experience are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

45.00 - 58.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
