Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Valet/Parking Manager is responsible for day-to-day management and supervision of all operational activities assigned to them. The Valet/Parking Manager assures courteous and efficient delivery of service to parking customers. Effectively reports to higher-level managers of any issues, suggestions, and problem solutions.

Responsibility and Job Scope

Maintain an active relationship with the Client and Management, providing regular facility updates and recommendations.
Provide proactive guidance and consulting on all field operations.
Participating in daily/weekly meetings.
Training and coaching staff daily. Ensuring compliance with company policies and rules.
Oversee staffing and schedules for all valet staff to meet the demands of the client and will adjust as required to assure coverage and efficient operational needs.
Identify all existing and potential operational problems and make appropriate recommendations.
Inspects the facilities with an emphasis on cleanliness, the appearance of attendants and identify and report any safety issues.
Perform other functions and duties as required for safe and efficient operations.
Fill shift vacancies that occur during normal operating hours due to employees calling in sick or failing to report as scheduled.
Handle any procedural violation uncovered because of a field audit, which is to result in disciplinary action against the offending employee or employees.
Maintain all equipment, keeping it operating at peak efficiency and troubleshooting any malfunctions, performing repairs where necessary.
Maintain responsive communication.
Must manage valet operations.
Must manage shuttle staff and operations (if applicable).
Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles (stick shift).
Must understand and adhere to the SOP.
Must comply with the Company’s Drug and Impairment Testing Policy as a condition of employment.
Employment requires the ability to obtain and maintain airport security credentials, including completion of TSA and DFW Airport screening and background check requirements.
Valid Drivers License.
2+ years of management experience.
2+ years of parking, transportation, facility management, or security experience (preferred).
2+ years of customer service experience.
2+ years of client relations experience.
Must communicate effectively and consistently, including the ability to read, write, and speak English at a level necessary to perform essential job functions.
Available to work on weekends or after hours to meet the demands of the operation.
Extensive experience supervising front-line staff.
Computer skills to include basic understanding of Microsoft Suite products, Excel, PowerPoint, internet usage, Outlook email, etc.
Ability to sit and/or stand for periods of 2 hours or more and run as necessary.
Ability to type/sit at a computer for a period of 2 hours or more.
Reliable transportation to and from site location frequently/daily.
Willingness to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Train and motivate frontline staff to provide the best customer service experience for all patrons of the facility.
Team player mentality and willingness to jump in on things outside of their job description.
Ability to manage multiple employees and calmly handle disgruntled and frustrated employees.
High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Other related tasks, as needed.

Reporting

Solid line reporting to Regional Manager.

Working Locations

This position will be based out of DFW Airport.

Schedule

Base working schedule of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, however, all managers are required to modify the schedule as needed to appropriately oversee their assigned operations. Occasional evening, early morning, and Saturday and Sunday as needed may be required.
