Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking experienced Structured Cabling, Electronic Security, Audio/Video, and Fire Alarm Technicians to install, service, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems, for active construction projects and live facilities.

We are primarily looking for technicians with hands-on experience in security system installation. Programming and commissioning is a plus!

We are also seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians, as we have recently launched the Fire Alarm installation and servicing side of our business. We have several managers with decades of combined experience in the Fire Alarm industry who will be helping us to grow this side of the shop.

Job Type: Full-time, In-Person, Ability to commute throughout DFW to jobsites.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and service:

Access control systems (readers, controllers, door hardware)
Video surveillance systems (IP cameras, NVRs, cloud platforms)
Intrusion detection systems (panels, sensors, keypads)
Fire alarm systems
Audio/Video systems
Structured Cabling (MDFs/IDFs with hundreds, or thousands, of cables)

Perform system programming, testing, and commissioning
Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues in the field
Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system schematics
Ensure installations meet code, manufacturer specifications, and company standards
Maintain clean, professional installations and documentation

Required Experience

3+ years of electronic security system experience and/or fire alarm system experience and/or audio/video experience and/or structured cabling experience.
Driver's license and ability to pass background check are REQUIRED.
If applying with electronic security system and/or fire alarm system experience, Fire Alarm License, and/or Private Security License, are required! We can assist you in getting this license if needed.

Proven, hands-on experience installing and/or servicing systems such as:

Access Control:

Brivo (primary platform), Kantech, Avigilon, Genetec, Software House.

Video Surveillance:

Eagle Eye Networks (primary platform), LTS, ExacqVision, Hikvision, Avigilon

Intrusion Detection:

DSC PowerSeries Neo (primary platform), Napco, Honeywell, DMP

Audio/Video:

Video Conferencing - Poly/Logitech/Yealink, Biamp, Shure
Sound Masking / Paging - Cambridge/Atlas/Valcom
Room Control - QSC, Aurora

Structured Cabling:

Superior Essex + Ortronics (primary cable/connectivity), Panduit, Commscope, Wavenet, etc.

Ability to wire, commission, and troubleshoot systems independently. Programming experience is a plus.

Solid understanding of low-voltage wiring as it relates to security systems.

This should include experience with IP networking (IP addressing, PoE, switches, basic networking).

Manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills are critical.

Candidates whose experience is limited to pulling cable without system-level experience will not be a fit. We will put your skills to the test in the interview.
