Full Job Description

Overview:

AQS is an electronics manufacturing company headquartered in Silicon Valley with 30 years of experience in manufacturing high quality electronics. We offer services including PCBA, box build manufacturing, custom design modification, testing, and global cost-effective shipping. As a contract manufacturer, we work with a wide variety of different and interesting products. Our mission is to put our customers ahead of the competition with immaculate products, and we pride ourselves on the quality of the products that we make to meet this goal.

As a mechanical engineer at AQS, you will have the opportunity to grow your knowledge and skills regarding many differing areas of the electronics manufacturing industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality and efficient production along with top tier customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify the root cause of all issues that appear in electronic assemblies, solve them, and implement action to prevent recurrence of the issues

· Increase the efficiency of the assembly process through various means, including designing and creating fixtures, optimizing the process flow, and properly training operators

· Perform various inspections on parts, including first article inspections, incoming inspections, in-process inspections, and outgoing inspections

· Assist with new product introductions by learning the assembly & testing procedures, performing time studies, and advising areas where the manufacturability may be optimized

· Assist in sourcing and evaluating new parts and vendors

· Communicate with customers and vendors about assembly topics and issues

· Create and maintain documents pertaining to various manufacturing procedures

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

· 6 months+ of relevant experience preferred but not required.

Valued Skills:

· Exceptional problem-solving skills

· Ability to work well in a team environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

· Flexibility in your role

· Basic knowledge of electronic assemblies and PCBAs is a plus, but not required

Schedule:

Working hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM every Monday through Friday (40 hours per week)
