Full Job Description

Jupiter Prestige Group is a global artwork and prepress production company with operations across North America, Europe, and Asia. We specialize in brand development, packaging, photography, prepress production, and print quality management, supporting leading retailers and FMCG companies with their brand packaging programs.

Location: In Office

The Prepress Artist is responsible for preparing high quality production artwork that meets both brand standards and technical print requirements. This role takes approved design layouts and develops press ready files using established brand guidelines, printer specifications, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate has strong technical prepress expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to producing accurate, high quality work in a fast paced production environment. This position also performs final quality reviews to ensure artwork is correct before it moves to the next stage of production.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Create production artwork files using established brand style guides.
Build, revise, and prepare artwork to meet printer specifications and production requirements.
Perform technical production tasks including scaling, cropping, retouching, repositioning, preflighting, and correcting image issues.
Execute file trapping based on printer requirements across multiple print processes.
Apply color correction and color management techniques for flexographic printing to achieve accurate color reproduction.
Conduct final quality reviews of artwork before release to production.
Ensure all artwork consistently meets brand standards and technical specifications.
Utilize Esko Graphics, Cloudflow, and other production automation systems.
Apply design principles including typography, layout, color, balance, and composition while maintaining production accuracy.
Work effectively in a fast paced production environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Collaborate with internal teams, printers, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution.
Accept feedback professionally and incorporate revisions accurately and efficiently.
Work independently while also taking direction from project stakeholders.
Operate proficiently on Mac based systems.
Use Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
Prepare artwork for both print and digital applications, selecting the appropriate graphic formats for each use.

Qualifications

5+ years of prepress experience in a graphic arts, packaging, or print production environment.
Experience with Esko Graphics and Cloudflow software.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Strong knowledge of prepress workflows, print production, and packaging artwork.
Experience with flexographic printing and color management preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts or a related field preferred.
