Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packer/Shipper to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately packing, labeling, stocking, and preparing products for shipment while ensuring all items meet quality standards. Your energetic approach will help maintain efficient warehouse operations, support order fulfillment, and contribute to a seamless shipping process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment, warehouse management systems, and a variety of logistics tools to keep our distribution center running smoothly.
Duties
- Carefully pack and prepare products using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials efficiently within the warehouse
- Assist with order picking and packing processes to fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately
- Stock material racks according to company standards
- Load and unload shipments safely using heavy equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct quality control checks on packed items to ensure accuracy and product integrity before shipping
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipment details, preparing shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers
- Clean and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and mechanical handling tools
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory control procedures
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to packaging materials handling and equipment operation
- Experience with warehouse distribution, stock management, and order fulfillment workflows
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload shipments safely and efficiently
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities
- Excellent attention to detail for quality control and order accuracy
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members in a fast-paced environment
