Full Job Description

I updated the previous job description to more accurately represent the new position we are wanting to fill. We are a small family owned manufacturing company that makes custom electric control panels. We have a little over 80 employees.
This position you would be interviewing for is a new position. We are looking for someone with a strategic mind that is good with spreadsheets and communication to figure out better efficiencies for our company. Everyone is so busy that we need a full time person to facilitate the process with shipping receiving, inventory, engineering, job processing people, logistics, ect to streamline and make sure things stay on schedule, track labor and inefficiencies in the manufacturing process. We want someone with a fresh eye to spot bottlenecks and help with these issues. We use Quickbooks Manufacturing and you would need some basic knowledge of the software (or similar software) to be a liaison between the office and warehouse floor. You must have strong Excel skills for creating internal spreadsheets. Initially we would like to look at labor costs within manufacturing and see how we can be most efficient.

Job Summary
Labor Cost Tracking: Building spreadsheet models to calculate cost per unit, track standard vs actual labor rates and analyze wage expense.

Efficiency and Variance Analysis

Time and Motion Studies: Observing assembly areas to set target production times and inefficiencies.

Budgeting and Quoting: Forecasting future staffing needs, preparing cost reports and providing accurate data for pricing models.

Requirements

Proven experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in control panel or electrical product production.
Strong proficiency with Excel and Quickbooks Manufacturing or similar platforms for production planning and inventory management.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Ability to analyze data accurately and develop actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Being Bilingual and having Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Note: This job is not a warehouse manager or logistic manager position.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
