Purpose:
We are seeking a data-driven and creative SEO Specialist Freelancer. In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to improve online visibility, drive organic traffic, and enhance search engine rankings. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of SEO best practices, a passion for staying ahead of trends, and a track record of achieving measurable results.

Essential Functions of the Job:
Develop, execute, and monitor effective SEO strategies to achieve company objectives.
Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities and optimize content for search engines.
Perform on-page optimization, including meta tags, headers, internal linking, and schema markup.
Collaborate with content creators to produce SEO-friendly content that aligns with our brand voice and audience needs.
Modify website content, meta descriptions, headings, and HTML tags to incorporate targeted keywords and improve search engine understanding.
Analyze website technical issues like broken links, slow loading times, and mobile responsiveness to ensure proper search engine crawling and indexing.
Manage and execute technical SEO audits to identify and fix issues affecting crawlability, indexation, and site performance.
Build and monitor backlink strategies to strengthen domain authority and overall search visibility.
Track and analyze website analytics, search performance, and traffic patterns using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and third-party platforms.
Stay current with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to adapt strategies as needed.
Generate detailed reports on SEO performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Champion a culture of experimentation, encouraging team members to responsibly adopt and adapt AI tools to elevate their work—while maintaining creative integrity and strategic thinking.
Ensure responsible and ethical use of AI, including transparency, data privacy, and alignment with agency values.

Required Skills and Experience:
Experience with paid search campaigns (PPC) or social media marketing.
Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and user experience (UX) principles.
Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or SEO-related tools.
5 years of proven experience in SEO or digital marketing.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field (preferred).
Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and optimization strategies.
Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar.
Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
Familiarity with technical SEO concepts, including site speed optimization, structured data, and mobile-first indexing.
Exceptional analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Demands & Conditions:
This position is freelance position that is remote.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
This position involves sitting at a computer for several hours at a time.
Proficiency in the use of keyboard / mouse and video meetings.
Ability to see and hear in virtual meetings.
Preferred ability to maintain a flexible schedule aligned with Central Time zone business hours, 9 am – 5 pm, to facilitate effective collaboration and communication with team members.
