Job Title: Quality Control Specialist

Department: Quality Department

Experience Requirement

Minimum 3 years of quality control, inspection, or manufacturing-related experience preferred.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure materials and finished products meet company quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.

This position works closely with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify defects, document quality issues, control non-conforming materials, and support corrective action and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform incoming material inspections, in-process inspections, and final product inspections according to established quality standards and work instructions.
Inspect products for appearance, dimensions, functionality, workmanship, labeling, packaging, and other quality requirements.
Identify, document, and report defective products, materials, and production quality issues.
Separate, label, and control non-conforming materials to prevent unintended use or shipment.
Complete inspection reports, quality checklists, defect records, and other required quality documentation accurately and on time.
Communicate quality issues promptly to the Quality Manager, Production Supervisor, and other responsible departments.
Support production teams in identifying defects and preventing recurring quality problems.
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities for internal defects, customer complaints, and supplier quality issues.
Follow approved inspection standards, control plans, drawings, specifications, samples, and work instructions.
Use measuring and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and other testing equipment as required.
Verify that repaired or reworked products meet quality standards before release.
Support product sorting, containment, re-inspection, and quality verification activities when quality issues occur.
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of inspection areas, tools, samples, and quality records.
Assist with quality audits, inventory inspections, supplier inspections, and continuous improvement projects.
Monitor recurring defects and provide feedback to Quality and Production management.
Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
Perform other quality-related duties and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control, product inspection, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
Basic knowledge of quality inspection procedures and non-conforming material control.
Ability to read and follow drawings, specifications, inspection standards, work instructions, and quality checklists.
Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects and inconsistencies.
Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and data entry.
Ability to manage multiple inspection tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive inspection activities for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
Ability to communicate in both English and Chinese is a must.
