Full Job Description

Overview
A well-established and growing real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to support fund-level accounting, reporting, and process improvement across a multi-entity real estate portfolio.

This is a newly created position with an excellent opportunity to join a stable, collaborative team and play a meaningful role in strengthening financial reporting for your individual career growth.

Duties
· Work closely with internal and external property accounting teams to ensure financials are being reviewed timely and reconciling to the fund level books.

· Review monthly property reports prepared by various property management companies and provide comments on any revisions and corrections based on accounting policies.

· Coordinate with property accounting teams for any quarterly and annual lenders deliverables.

· Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements for corporate and real estate entities, including monthly financial close, account balance reconciliations, lead schedule preparation, compile footnote support, and all other schedules requested by audit and tax teams on a quarterly and annual basis.

· Maintain monthly Fund level capex reconciliation for the fund admin team and ensure property books intercompany is properly eliminated with fund level intercompany.

· Work with asset management and internal accounting team to ensure lender reserve draws are completed on a quarterly basis.

· Populate property transfer wire request forms for capex reimbursements and quarterly distributions.

· Prepare and post journal entities into the financial system.

· Assist with acquisition and disposition process as needed by the team, including but not limited to proration review, closing entry preparation, drafting the acquisition JE, working on post-close true ups etc.

· Assist with Loan reporting compliance obligations and ensure new properties are set-up and reporting compliance obligations are met.

· Work with lenders to set-up new loans and ensure changes are timely made for any loan auto draft setups.

· Assist with various investor level document maintenance, as needed.

· Assist with property level data compilation for distribution analysis for the fund level and syndicated investments.

· Calculate and track fees billed to the properties on a monthly/quarterly basis.

· Review tax and escrow analyses and coordinate with lenders.

· Assist staff with system uploads and validations files for our monthly data.

· Prepare quarterly rollforwards for the Funds for the audit and fund admin teams.

· Review and tie out the quarterly financial statements against various internal schedules.

· Assist with maintaining banking database and vendor information

· Process corporate billings, invoices, and credit card charges.

· Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

· Prepare monthly cash transaction detail for the accounting team preparing the financial statements.

· Reconcile all bank accounts monthly for syndicated investments

· Prepare ad-hoc requests for senior management. as needed.

· Lead and coordinate year end audit and tax PBC schedules, in coloration with fund administrator and internal Team.

· Assist with any ad hoc tax analysis and requests, needed by senior management.

· Track all tax related payments and work with tax teams on payment status.

Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications

· Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent required.

· 5 years of accounting experience

· Must have real estate accounting experience; exposure to fund accounting a big plus

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

· Yardi experience preferred

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
