Substation Supervisor – Multiple Locations (Relocation Assistance Offered)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Substation Supervisor to lead and manage high-performing substation design teams. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering strong career growth, a hybrid work environment, relocation support, and bonus potential.

The Substation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing multiple engineering teams, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality, profitable substation designs while coordinating closely with construction, purchasing, and cross-disciplinary leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee, mentor, and manage multiple substation engineering and design teams.
Ensure project teams meet quality, schedule, and profitability objectives.
Assign projects to engineering teams based on scope, schedule, and resource availability.
Coordinate project team efforts with construction and purchasing departments to ensure alignment with field needs.
Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to project standards and technical requirements.
Provide leadership in planning, goal setting, and execution across disciplines (engineers, designers, drafters).
Maintain efficient workflow across multiple, concurrent projects.

Requirements

6+ years of Substation Design experience (High-voltage, 138kV and above).
Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering design teams.
Deep understanding of high-voltage substation components and their functions.
Strong knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals and three-phase power systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and senior management to define team goals and execution plans.
