Hours needed: 7-12pm and 3-7pm availability

Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and comfort to our furry friends. In this lively, hands-on role, you will ensure the well-being, safety, and cleanliness of animals in our care while supporting the daily operations of our kennel facility. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive environment for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your pet care skills, and contribute to a compassionate community dedicated to animal welfare.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive dog handling, including feeding, walking, playing, and monitoring behavior to ensure their comfort and safety
Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals clean and healthy
Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular cleaning and disinfecting procedures
Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns promptly to veterinary or management staff
Support pet sitting services by caring for animals in their absence, ensuring they receive proper attention and care

Experience

Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or pet grooming environment is highly desirable
Knowledge of animal handling skills is a strong plus
Familiarity with pet grooming practices and pet sitting responsibilities enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or assisting with animal movement
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members
Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare through previous roles involving animal care or rescue work
