About Us

ACP is a Part 145 Repair Station, operating since 1994. We specialize in the development of DER repairs with a focus on customized repair solutions for high-value expendable aircraft components.

Job Description

As the Electrical Engineer – Aerospace Repair Development, you will develop repairs for electrical and electro-mechanical aircraft parts and assemblies. You will utilize your experience and skills to create solutions where none currently exist. You’ll work with our team on-site in Euless, TX as well as with colleagues and customers around the world.

Core Responsibilities

Evaluate electrical and electro-mechanical aircraft assemblies and parts to determine feasibility of a repair.
Disassemble parts with the intent to repair and restore full functionality
Use technical manuals, industry best practices, and knowledge of aircraft systems to create test requirements for repaired components.
Create repair instructions and perform test repairs to verify
Facilitate FAA and/or customer approval of repairs ensuring the repairs adhere to customer and FAA guidelines and regulations
Assist in setting up new repairs for production in our FAA 145 Repair Station

Experience and Skills

Required:

Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in a repair station or other production environment.
Experience repairing or manufacturing one or more of the following types of parts:
o Circuit boards
o Actuator assemblies
o Electrical windings (including motors, solenoids, transformers, etc)
o Sensor assemblies
o Torque Motors
o Switch assemblies
o Servo valve assemblies
Experience identifying or selecting electrical components such as capacitors, resistors, connectors, transistors, electrical wires for use in electrical repairs.
Familiarity with aerospace technical manuals such as CMMs, AMMs, etc.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated technical writing experience.
Punctual, reliable, and works well with team members
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and a valid driver’s license

Strongly Preferred:

5+ years of experience in commercial or military aerospace maintenance
A&P License
Experience drafting electrical schematics

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required
