Recognized for our exceptional quality, Bonchon is dedicated to providing delicious meals for families and friends.

Summary

The Accounting Specialist is a key contributor to Bonchon’s Finance and Accounting team, responsible for executing a wide range of accounting and billing functions in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Reporting to the Accounting manager, the Accounting Specialist will assist our accounting and department with all clerical and basic accounting tasks. The responsibilities include updating databases, recordkeeping, filing, billing, and responding to internal and external clients in a timely and professional manner.

· Responsible for full cycle of AP processing including intercompany transactions. Process high volume of vendor billing. Create invoices, monitor, and manage payment schedule

· Perform weekly payment run

· Update bank transactions daily to Excel file on Teams. Post all bank transactions to SAP daily.

· Complete bank reconciliation weekly for corporate owned restaurants.

· Manage Sales data and complete monthly sales reports for corporate-owned restaurants.

Extract sales raw data from:

1) POS Aloha

2) Worldpay and Olo (credit card sales)

3) Export and enter 3rd party delivery sales such as Grubhub, Door dash, Uber eats, EzCater

Post daily sales entry and reporting for corporate owned restaurants.
Monthly Gift card reconciliation and Petty cash reconciliation
Assist corporate store managers with accounting-related documents such as invoices, contracts etc.
Communicating efficiently and in a timely manner on all correspondence
Assist in month end closing such as sales and payment accruals and other related Journal entry postings
Complete month end closing reports as assigned
Assist in yearend audit
Complete annual 1099 file
Assist department manager with outstanding tasks and assignments as needed.
Other duties relevant to position may be assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
2+ years of experience in accounting, billing, or related financial roles.
Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Experience in a multi-unit or franchise business model is a plus.
Ability to speak Korean a plus.

Skills and Competencies

Exceptional leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to inspire.
Self-starter with a collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple departments and functions.
Expertise in operational systems, tools, and best practices for the restaurant industry.
Proficiency in analyzing data and implementing insights to enhance performance.

Other Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
3-5 years Accounting Assistant/Clerk experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS.
Proficiency in SAP
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Organized, adaptable, and solutions-focused.
Bilingual in Korean and English a plus.
Based in DFW area
