Pay increases are available based on attendance, performance, work quality and the ability to complete tasks independently.

ABOUT SALLEY’S HOME SOLUTIONS
Salley’s Home Solutions specializes in custom media walls, electric fireplace installations, shiplap fireplace walls, accent walls, floating shelves and other custom interior upgrades throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking entry-level construction helper who wants to learn the trade and grow with the company. Extensive construction experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who consistently arrives on time, follows instructions and takes pride in producing quality work.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Construction Helper / Media Wall Installer Apprentice will assist with building and finishing custom media walls, fireplace walls and accent walls inside customers’ homes.
This is a hands-on position involving material handling, job-site preparation, framing, drywall, sanding, painting, trim work, cleanup and general installation assistance.
The ideal candidate is dependable, teachable, detail-oriented and comfortable working in occupied residential homes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load, unload and organize tools and construction materials
- Protect customers’ floors, furniture and surrounding work areas
- Assist with measuring, marking and cutting materials
- Assist with wood and metal framing
- Assist with drywall installation, taping, sanding and finishing
- Assist with trim, shiplap, floating shelves and accent-wall installation
- Perform basic caulking, priming, painting and touch-up work
- Operate drills, saws, sanders, nail guns and shop vacuums safely
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional job site
- Clean tools and work areas at the end of each day
- Follow measurements, drawings and step-by-step instructions
- Communicate immediately when instructions or measurements are unclear
- Respect customers, their homes and their belongings
- Follow all company quality and safety standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Dependable and consistently punctual
- Reliable transportation to project locations throughout DFW
- Able to accurately read a tape measure
- Basic familiarity with hand and power tools
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Willing to learn new construction and finishing skills
- Comfortable working on ladders
- Able to lift and carry approximately 50–75 pounds
- Able to stand, bend, kneel and perform physical work throughout the day
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional appearance and respectful communication
- Able to work without excessive personal phone use
- Valid driver’s license strongly preferred
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Previous construction, remodeling or handyman experience
- Experience with framing, drywall, trim, sanding or painting
- Experience working inside occupied residential homes
- Familiarity with drills, circular saws, miter saws, sanders and nail guns

PAY PROGRESSION
- Entry-level training: Starting at $20 per hour
- Dependable and productive helper: Eligible for performance-based increases
- Independent installer: Additional increases based on skill and responsibility
- Crew-lead opportunities may become available as the company grows
