Seeking a Pediatric Echo Technician / Cardiac Sonographer for our practice who provides echocardiography expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:
Pediatric Echo Tech will perfo 2-dimensional, Doppler, and color flow studies. Echocardiography studies will be performed on infants and fetal patients. Operates sonar equipment, maintains, compiles, calculates and prepares findings for physician interpretation and archiving.
Prepares patients for exams, monitors progress and records results
Performs timely procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
Performs QA on all sonar equipment.
Maintain and clean, organized work area
Adhere to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required
What Qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION:
Certification from an approved echocardiography program with emphasis on pediatrics required
EXPERIENCE:
One –three years’ experience required
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Pediatric and Fetal Echo (ARDMS) (RDCS-PE, FE); or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); or
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDS) or
Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); or
Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) • BCLS and PALS required
