Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Controller with month-end close activities, financial analysis, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This role requires hands-on experience with both cash and accrual accounting, strong full-cycle accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, growth-oriented healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable working independently while consistently meeting deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations under cash and accrual accounting methods to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements

· Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations

· Prepare month-end accruals and supporting analyses to identify missing or misclassified expenses

· Prepare revenue-related journal entries and assist with cash reconciliations

· Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules

· Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate reporting under cash and accrual accounting frameworks

· Record payroll entries and identify process changes or discrepancies

· Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions

· Assist in the preparation of internal management reports and external reports for tax and regulatory purposes

· Support Accounts Payable activities as needed

· Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management

Abilities/Skills:

· High level of discretion and confidentiality, particularly with sensitive and patient-related information

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

· Excellent organizational and time management abilities

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently

· Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

· Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Certifications/Licenses

· None.

Qualifications/Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

· Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting

· Demonstrated experience with both cash and accrual accounting required

· Experience in a startup or high-growth environment preferred

· Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred

· Proficiency in QuickBooks required

· Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

· Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable federal and state regulations

· Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
