Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of clinical nutrition, with experience in patient assessment, medical nutrition therapy, and chronic disease management. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in developing personalized care plans, providing nutrition counseling, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals’ health through expert nutritional support and education.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and identify dietary needs.
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans tailored to specific medical conditions and dietary requirements.
Provide comprehensive nutrition counseling to patients, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to promote behavior change.
Manage specialized nutritional support interventions, including tube feeding and other enteral or parenteral nutrition therapies.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into overall treatment plans.
Monitor patient progress through diagnostic evaluation and adjust care plans accordingly for optimal results.
Document all interventions accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Supervise dietetic interns or junior staff members, providing guidance on clinical practices and documentation standards.
Stay current with advancements in clinical nutrition, physiology knowledge, and medical nutrition therapy (MNT) techniques.
Assist in managing dietary department operations within hospital or long-term care settings, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; registration or licensure as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is required.
Proven experience working in clinical settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, or acute care environments.
Strong knowledge of physiology, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and dietary management for chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, and geriatrics.
Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management.
Experience with tube feeding protocols and nutritional support techniques is highly desirable.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate diverse patient populations effectively.
Supervising experience or leadership roles within dietary departments are preferred.
Familiarity with weight loss programs, patient assessment tools, and dietary modifications for specific needs is advantageous.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patient care.
