Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Residential Insurance Estimator and play a vital role in assessing property claims to ensure accurate, fair, and efficient restoration of damaged properties. In this position you will work for our firm that provides estimating and supplement services to multiple contractor clients throughout the U.S.. You will evaluate residential damage by reviewing the field inspectors' photos/videos, and collaborate with clients and insurance carriers to facilitate a smooth process. Your expertise will help homeowners recover from property damage swiftly, while maintaining compliance with industry standards, code requirements & safety regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical Xactimate skills and restoration knowledge in a flexible 100% remote environment. With office staff to assist in organizing client data, communicate with homeowners and assist in follow ups, you will have a team supporting you in the day to day file management.

Duties

Conduct thorough review of residential properties using the field inspectors notes, photos/videos & communicate any missing items in a accurate, timely manner.
Analyze damages related to water, fire, storm, and other hazards by applying specialized knowledge in property restoration & construction standards. Predominantly serving roofing and exterior contractors, the bulk of the files will be focused on these areas.
Utilize quantitative analysis and risk assessment techniques to determine claim validity and appropriate items needed to properly repair to pre-storm condition.
Identify potential fraud indicators through diligent investigation and fraud prevention methods to protect the company’s interests.
Review building codes, OSHA safety standards, and local regulations to ensure compliance.
Prepare detailed estimates, supplements & COC's documenting findings, damages, and recommended repairs, including organized photo report.
Collaborate with insurance and contracting clients to facilitate timely claims resolution while adhering to industry best practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience, minimum of 2 years of insurance restoration and insurance claim procedures.
Demonstrated expertise, minimum of 2 years of full time creation of estimates from scratch in Xactimate. Prefer X3 Level certification, but not required.
Knowledge of codes, OSHA safety standards and roofing manufacturer requirements
Proficiency with Acculynx software for managing data & correspondence effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to clients and team members
Clear and confident phone skills, willing to call daily to follow up on open files and properly document all correspondence in CRM

Pay

100% remote, paid weekly 1099 - pay request by Monday for direct deposit Friday
$50 per estimate to start, with 5-7.5% of all residential supplement increase
No Xactimate sketches required
Reimbursement for training after 6 months
Industry tradeshows and conferences included

Opportunity

We are looking for two new estimators to join our residential team. We offer W-2 options after 6 months of 1099 work if interested. There is plenty of room for advancement to residential lead estimator or general manager if it is a good fit for all parties.
