Full Job Description

We are seeking an Interim Indirect Tax Consultant for our client to help strengthen and stabilize its sales and use tax compliance function. This consultant will support multi-state indirect tax, compliance, reconciliations, journal entries, and process improvement while partnering closely with the accounting organization.

Attributes:

Strong sales and use tax and multi-state indirect tax experience
Support tax compliance, reconciliations, research, audits, and related filings
Prepare tax-related journal entries and partner with accounting/project accounting teams
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience improving indirect tax processes, controls, and documentation
Broader accounting knowledge beyond pure sales tax strongly preferred
Construction, telecom, or similarly complex multi-state industry experience is a plus
7+ years of progressive tax/accounting experience preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
