Full Job Description

CSI – a custom hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX, is seeking a talented Contracts Specialist. The Contracts Specialist will participate in the development and negotiation of contracts and subcontracts. This Specialist will lead the fact- finding process received from customers and guide the same process for our major contracts and subcontracts to shape and confirm compliance with contractual requirements. They will maintain all contractual milestones and work with C-Suite and Program Management to ensure that scheduled milestones are achieved. Candidate should be able to handle multiple assignments and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage contracts across all phases, from proposal development to contract administration
Ensure compliance with federal procurement regulatory requirements and issues purchase orders and subcontracts as required
Oversee terms/conditions and flow-downs of awarded contracts
Coordinate with C-Suite on authorizations on program and scope changes
Manage/review contracts to ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements
Review proposal submissions for accuracy and compliance to applicable requirements
Support senior management regarding contractual and business issues with Subject Matter Expertise
Develop and maintain operating procedures that support requirements set forth in the AS9100D standard and Policy and Procedures
Coordinate/ authorize changes in contractual requirements compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Management, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of DoD contracts management experience as a government employee or industry contractor
Project lead in fact finding and continue process improvement efforts
Experience in advising Program Management of risks associated with contracts/subcontracts
A strong understanding and working experience of the proposal development process
Current Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
Proficiency using MS Office suite of programs to include MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Must be a U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Candidate Must Possess the Ability to:

Manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet critical deadlines
Work independently as well as part of a team; self-motivated
Be adaptive and proactive
Show initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis
Deliver well-defined written products and professional presentation skills for briefings/meetings, including demonstrated ability to present information to senior staff and external stakeholders
Perform other duties as required
