CPA Tax Practice Leader | Build a Modern Advisory Firm

Abundi Business Solutions | Full-Time | Leadership Role

There's a version of this job where you inherit a book of returns, keep the seats filled, and hand off the same practice, unchanged, in five years. That's not this job. We're looking for a CPA leader who wants to build the practice—not just run it—and who is ready to help define what a modern advisory practice looks like alongside firm leadership.

We believe clients want more than tax preparation—they want trusted advisors who help them make better financial decisions and build long-term financial success.

We're looking for someone who wants to spend the next decade building a practice they're proud of—not simply managing one they inherited.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a practice leader with real ownership over Abundi's tax advisory function—its growth, its people, and its reputation. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing firm.

What You'll Do

· Build and grow the tax advisory practice, including recurring revenue beyond compliance work.

· Recruit, develop, and mentor the next generation of tax professionals.

· Expand client relationships into long-term advisory engagements.

· Identify and convert advisory opportunities within the existing client base.

· Build lasting client relationships that generate referrals and advisory engagements.

· Improve systems, workflows, and operating standards.

· Champion technology and AI to eliminate low-value manual work.

· Build referral relationships with attorneys, bankers, and wealth managers.

· Partner directly with firm leadership on long-term growth strategy.

What We're Looking For

· Licensed CPA with substantive tax experience, including advisory or planning.

· Proven leadership experience with a desire to mentor and develop people.

· Thinks like an owner and enjoys improving systems.

· Enjoys business development and growing client relationships.

· Comfortable with ambiguity and building something new.

· Has a vision for future growth of clients and services.

· Enjoys solving complex client problems beyond the tax return.
