Full Job Description

Work Set Up and Location:

Hybrid - Up to 1-2 onsite days in Dalton, GA 30720

The Litigation Paralegal role is pivotal in supporting the firm’s personal injury practice. This role exists to manage post-litigation processes and ensures that all critical documents and deadlines are meticulously handled. As a vital part of the team, the Litigation Paralegal will help streamline operations and enhance client satisfaction by maintaining organization and facilitating efficient case processing.

What you’ll do:

Case Management: Oversee post-litigation processes for approximately 30 active cases, focusing primarily on personal injury and some business litigation.
Document Drafting: Draft and file essential litigation documents including complaints, answers, interrogatories, discovery requests, and demand letters.
Client Communication: Engage proactively with clients for status updates and scheduling, ensuring clear and professional interaction.
Organize Files: Maintain and organize all litigation files, tracking case materials such as medical records, police reports, and agreements.
Support Attorneys: Assist attorneys in meeting deadlines, preparing briefs, and prioritizing tasks for efficient case progression.
Utilize Technology: Leverage AI tools like EvenUp for timelines and drafting assistance to enhance efficiency.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and case staff to ensure cohesive case management while occasionally aiding the intake process.

What we’re looking for:

Experience Required: At least 2–3 years in personal injury litigation; capable of managing cases independently.
Drafting Skills: Proven ability to draft standard litigation pleadings and responses accurately and efficiently.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills with attention to detail and professional client interactions.
Organization: Highly organized and self-motivated with a keen ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a strong cultural fit; willingness to assist and share knowledge.
Technology Aptitude: Comfort with AI tools and legal case management software; adaptive to new technologies.

Additional perks:

Salary and Bonuses: $40k - $45k base salary plus $7k – 8k discretionary bonuses tied to firm performance.
Flexible Schedule: Options for adjusted hours and early leave on certain Fridays if revenue targets are met.
PTO and Sick Days: Paid time off with incremental growth based on tenure and additional sick days provided. (1 week after 6 months; 2 weeks after 2 years; 3 weeks after 5 years; plus 1 Friday off/month after 6 months)

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
