Full Job Description

Therapists provide individual psychotherapy sessions and facilitate both topic and process groups related to substance use, mental health and a vast array of other emotional/behavioral/relational issues for adults for 18 years of age. Therapists work with clients to gain insight into their addictive behaviors and identify actions to promote a healthier sober lifestyle. This may include exploring underlying emotional issues, trauma work, addressing co-occurring disorders, grief and loss, cross-addictions, family dynamics, relationship issues, emotion regulation, anger management, coping skills etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Hold and maintain the safety and well-being of the clients as the number one priority.
Completes all initial facility intake and bio-psychosocial assessments for newly admitted clients assigned to the caseload.
Provides clients with weekly individual psychotherapy sessions and documents the session in an electronic medical record.
Provides family therapy services when indicated.
Addresses crisis issues, completes risk assessments and safety plans when indicated and documents in the electronic medical record.
In collaboration with the client identify therapeutic goals that will be addressed and develop a Master Treatment plan. Monitor progress and regularly update the treatment plan as appropriate.
Provides family therapy services when indicated.
Facilitates both process and topic groups related to substance use and co-occurring disorders and documents group notes in the client’s electronic medical record.
Maintains regular contact with family members, when consents are in place, in order to provide progress updates, educates them about the addiction/recovery process, and discusses appropriate boundaries.
Participates as part of a treatment team and coordinates care with case managers, psychiatrists, and support staff.
Attends outlined staff meetings and scheduled trainings.
Maintains confidentiality and respect for all clients and staff.
Maintains all required certifications and licenses.
Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION STATEMENT:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
Licensed MFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
C-3 Facility Personnel Health Screening Report filled out by a licensed medical professional.
Annual tuberculosis test.
Ability to pass background checks required by Nectar Recovery.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED

Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, especially word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
Possesses working knowledge of addiction and mental health related treatment.
Strong knowledge and implementation of code of ethics, personal and clinical boundaries, and confidentiality rules and regulations.
Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues.
Provide treatment that promotes client dignity, independence, individuality, strength, privacy and choice, recognizing the unique needs of the client population served by the agency. 6. Has completed all the requirements above and is documented in application in training.
Must demonstrate a strong dedication to helping those they serve achieve sobriety and recovery.

Pay: $70,304.00 - $74,838.00 per year
