Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver, dedicated to providing exceptional support and personalized care to individuals in Brookfield, CT. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence.]

Schedule- Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 9am-3pm

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medications, and updating care plans accordingly.
Support residents with mobility using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed.
Maintain a safe environment through cleaning, infection control practices, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Provide companionship and emotional support while fostering meaningful communication with residents and their families.
Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders through specialized techniques and patience.

Experience

Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and implementing care plans.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous.
Knowledge of hospice care, geriatrics, dementia care, and memory support strategies enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care.
Familiarity with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and patient personal care assistance ensures safe handling of residents.
Proven skills in manual handling, heavy lifting when necessary, and assisting with ADLs while maintaining safety standards.
Strong client communication skills coupled with first aid and CPR certification support effective caregiving in diverse situations.
