Full Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for supporting all sales for lntelliNet-related products in the United States and Canada. S/he is responsible for achieving the desired sales results and objectives in a defined geographic region by maintaining and strengthening existing dealer relationships while proactively pursuing new dealer opportunities. S/he will do this by working closely with their respective Inside Sales Representative

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following list of essential job functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

1. Meet and/or exceed revenue and sales quota.

2. Work directly with assigned Inside Sales Representative to assure timely, successful follow up of all potential sales opportunities.

3. Conduct technical sales presentations and product demonstrations.

4. Answer customer and AHJ questions regarding NFPA code compliance timely and accurately.

5. Perform business planning, performance monitoring of customers and reporting to AES management in a timely manner.

6. Prospect for new dealer opportunities in the field by proactively setting up meetings, facilitating and presenting the benefits of AES.

7. Meet face-to-face with existing dealers to demonstrate new products, sell the value of technical services, support, and maintenance, and present the value added marketing resources and tools.

8. Present the AES product line value by explaining return on investment (ROI) and clear financial benefits of the AES IntelliNet solution portfolio.

9. Provide field/market feedback to the organization through regularly scheduled reporting, including competitive landscape and territory dynamics.

10. Identify and develop key vertical market opportunities within the region.

11. Transparently maintain sales pipeline information and provide regular, reliable forecasts by updating and maintaining information in Salesforce.com

12. Actively participate in regional industry events, as well as direct AES Corporation business development events as required.

13. Contribute to a team selling environment.

14. Perform other relevant duties as needed.

REQUIRED SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities.

1. Self-motivated, hard-driven sales experience in technical system products, preferably in security or wireless markets.

2. Proven Strong prospecting and cold calling skills.

3. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.

4. Outstanding presentation and communication skills.

5. Excellent listening skills with the proven ability to understand complex customer requirements.

6. Excellent business planning skills including the ability to regularly and accurately forecast and communicate return on investment (ROI).

7. Superb negotiating skills.

8. High level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and salesforce.com software.

9. Highly self-motivated with excellent time management skills in order to manage a sales territory.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

· A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:

· A minimum of 5 years outside sales experience.

· Selling security or wireless products is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications/Travel Ability:

· Valid Class D Driver’s License.

· Ability to travel approximately 50%, or as needed, throughout the assigned territory.
