Math Expert (PhD) – AI Trainer

Role Summary

micro1 is engaging PhD-level Mathematics experts to contribute to a high-impact AI training project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems by developing high-quality mathematical content, evaluating complex reasoning, and producing expert-level solutions that improve AI performance.

No prior AI experience is required. Your mathematical expertise is what matters most.

Scope of Work

Develop comprehensive, accurate, and insightful responses to advanced mathematics prompts spanning undergraduate and graduate-level topics.
Create, review, and refine "golden responses" that serve as benchmark solutions for AI training and evaluation.
Analyze complex mathematical problems, proofs, and theoretical concepts, transforming them into clear, structured, and educational explanations.
Evaluate mathematical reasoning for accuracy, logical consistency, and completeness.
Collaborate with a distributed network of subject matter experts to maintain high standards of quality, clarity, and educational value.
Provide feedback to improve project guidelines, response quality, and AI evaluation methodologies.
Ensure all deliverables meet project standards for accuracy, formatting, quality, and turnaround time.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
Deep expertise across undergraduate and graduate-level mathematics, including pure and applied mathematics.
Demonstrated experience authoring, reviewing, or teaching advanced mathematics materials such as textbooks, research papers, exams, or problem sets.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and precisely.
Strong analytical thinking and rigorous attention to detail.
Commitment to producing highly accurate, publication-quality mathematical content.
Comfortable working independently in a remote, collaborative environment and incorporating iterative feedback.
Interest in AI, education technology, or applying mathematical expertise to emerging technologies is a plus, but not required.
