Referral Coordinator & Patient Onboarding Specialist Position:

About the Role

The Referral Coordinator & Patient Onboarding Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for every patient. The ideal candidate will manage the referral and onboarding process from start to finish with accuracy, compassion, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate, complete, and track patient referrals (internal and external)
Verify insurance benefits, contact insurance companies, and navigate insurance portals
Manage the new patient onboarding process, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Schedule patient appointments to keep clinicians’ calendars organized and full
Maintain and update referral tracking spreadsheets and communication logs
Build positive relationships with clinicians, patients, and external providers
Ensure all referral-related tasks are handled with timeliness, accuracy, and professionalism

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a background check
Must have experience in healthcare, mental health, or human resources
Experience in medical office management required
