Project Environmental Manager
Semora, NC

Type: Contract
Compensation: $38.00 - $47.00

System One is seeking a Project Environmental Manager for a contract opportunity in Semora, NC.

Responsibilities

Ensure environmental compliance for the construction of a high-profile EPC project, guiding strategic direction and execution of environmental practices.
Lead and mentor site environmental professionals while collaborating with site management, clients, regulatory entities, and stakeholders to integrate environmental compliance into all construction phases.
Manage risk, develop execution plans, and delegate tasks for the site environmental team according to project requirements.
Oversee the preparation of environmental plans, permit applications, reports, and client documents.
Conduct site environmental inspections and ensure documentation aligns with project and regulatory standards.
Interpret complex environmental permits and regulations applicable to the project.
Monitor performance and enforcement of environmental controls and collaborate with operations to maintain compliance and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 5 years managing environmental compliance in the construction industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance processes impacting construction activities.
Proven experience managing environmental projects, leading teams, and working with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
