The following describes Characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Worship Pastor at The Rock Church.
Education and Experience
- Associates Degree in Worship Ministry, or Music, youth is preferred, although experience goes a long way
- 2 or more years of relevant experience in a church or ministry setting
- Experience in leading others into spontaneous praise and spirit inspired worship
- Have experienced the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
- Experience with Planning Center, ProPresenter, multi tracks and Facebook Live Online and familiarity with other worship technologies and software for recording
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Worship
- Proficiency as a vocalist and musician, with expertise in guitar
- Experienced at teaching others to play instruments
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Lead and develop worship and live stream production volunteers
- Ability to lead, give direction to, and develop a worship band
- Should work well with the Senior Pastor, staff, and volunteers
- Understands how to spot and utilize the gifts of this body of believers in worship
- Should take initiative to improve, develop, and grow the worship ministry creating a generational pipeline
- Exemplifies the character traits of a leader as seen in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–16,
- Agrees with the doctrine, mission, bylaws and beliefs, of the Rock Church, including sanctity of marriage
- Approaches all things with humility and a teachable spirit
- Self-starter who is strongly motivated and is passionate about the mission
- Must be able to work collaboratively with senior pastor on Sundays
- Exhibits a spirit of flexibility with time off and office hours
- Should be attentive to, and led by, the Holy Spirit
- Able to see the potential in the next generation,
- work with the children and youth to create special musical events for holidays
- Weekly responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Sunday Am worship and practice
Manage media, and sound teams/ propresenter song lists updates
Monthly worship night
Teach guitar /piano / voice (as extra income source)
Developing a background vocal team of multiple generations
Develop a youth worship team
Prepare songs either live or video for Wednesday night group
quarterly special events
having an all hands on deck approach during church wide events

Benefits include:
Full Time Salary package negotiable +- $52000. (preferred 24 hours work week)
Pt Time / contract $30 an hour (10 hours worship only)

Pay: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
