Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at our designated locations. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in various situations. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be tasked with protecting property, personnel, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Duties

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate and monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to ensure safety.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the premises.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment for security breaches.
Provide assistance during emergencies by administering first aid or CPR as needed.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or concerns.
Document all activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports for record-keeping.
Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid armed security officer certification.
Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable.
Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and techniques is a plus.
Proficient in operating CCTV systems and conducting surveillance operations.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
Must pass background checks as required by state regulations.
