Join our Roxboro Gypsum team as a Warehouse Loader I and play a hands-on role in getting high-quality wallboard products safely and accurately prepared for shipment. In this role, you will operate a forklift, inspect product for quality, follow warehouse loading directives, and help ensure customers receive the right product in excellent condition.
Key Areas of Focus & Core Responsibilities
- Safe forklift operation while loading gypsum wallboard onto trailer and rail cars.
- Accurate order fulfillment by locating and loading the correct product based on warehouse directives, bills of lading, and pick tickets.
- Perform inbound receiving activities, including unloading trucks and managing material storage areas.
- Quality inspection during the loading process, including damages or defects before shipment.
- Support of plant service goals by helping reduce mis-picks, damaged loads, and other shipping-related performance issues.
- Load wallboard safely and efficiently for truck and rail shipments, assist with bagging product for railcar deliveries as needed.
- Perform the final visual quality check before shipment and properly handle non-conforming product, including hold tickets and designated storage areas.
- Follow FIFO practices and warehouse location requirements to ensure correct product selection and loading accuracy.
- Participate in daily shift meetings, maintain strong housekeeping practices, and contribute to a team-oriented warehouse environment.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any issues through the appropriate precess.
- Use basic computer skills to complete assigned safety trainings and related tasks.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of warehouse/shipping experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year of forklift experience preferred.
- Must be able to to obtain forklift certification through in-house program.
- Familiarity with safety programs in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred for training and reporting needs
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Frequent vision, reading/writing, climbing/balancing, bending/stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, standing/walking, sitting, handling/grasping, talking/hearing, and repetitive motions.
- PPE is required constantly while performing the job.
- Forklift truck is used constantly; computer, audiovisual/presentation materials, and power tools may be used rarely.
- Work is performed on-site in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with hot/cold indoor conditions, dry/dusty conditions at times, and moderate noise.
- Second shift hours from 2:00PM to 10:00 beginning January 1, 2027. Training will take place on day shift from 7:00AM to 3:30PM until the end of 2026.
